We’re hiring – CNC Programmer and CNC Setter Operator

Are you a CNC Programmer or CNC Setter Operator looking for a fresh challenge?

In line with our business growth strategy, we are now looking to fill two roles: a CNC Programmer and a CNC Setter Operator. Successful applicants will join our business at a key point in our growth and help us drive business to the next level. These are key roles that require a good understanding of engineering principles and their application within a bespoke manufacturing business.

CNC Programmer is responsible for on-line and off-line programming of CNC milling machines up to 5-axis, to produce components from models and drawings to support the production of UPVC and aluminium window tooling, other company OEM designed machinery, sub-contract work, and other products as required.  Specific experience of programming in OneCNC is essential, and SolidEdgeCAM is desirable.

CNC Setter Operator is responsible for keeping spindles running by efficiently loading machines with material, whilst ensuring all machine tools are kept clean and do not build up with too much swarf. The job holder must be competent at setting machines with minimal supervision, making alterations where required to ensure work produced is of a high standard. A good understanding of the differences between tools and how this can affect machine performance is essential. Specific experience using Siemens (XYZ) and Fanuc operating controls is required.

Whilst technical and engineering skills are essential in both roles, we are also focused on bringing people in with the right positive soft skills that fit our culture and values – taking ownership and accountability, teamwork, engagement, communications, and so on. First aid and FLT qualifications are also desirable but not essential. In return, we offer a competitive rate of pay, regular overtime, training and career development.
